Pricing

Puppies are priced on an individual basis according to size, color, quality, pedigree, and gender.
All puppies offered have excellent health, champion linage, some with show potential.

Puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract for LTD AKC registration (pet).
AKC papers will be released upon receipt of vet certificate of procedure performed before pup reaches 6 months of age. Please see Adoption Form below.
Full registration will be an additional fee and will be only released to approved breeders who share a similar vision and commitment as mine.

Our top priority is for the puppy’s welfare. Please be prepared to answer questions we might ask and provide references (vet, dog trainer, etc).

Deposit

 Deposit is one third the price of the puppy you pick.
Deposit must be received within 3 working days of when you pick out your new fur baby or puppy will go back up for adoption.
Please send payment through postal money order by priority mail with delivery confirmation, PayPal (add 4% handling fee that PayPal charges for your convenience of choosing your type of payment), or cash in person.
No personal checks are accepted.
Please let us know if you might need other arrangements.
Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE so please be sure you can assume the responsibility and have the time and resources for a new puppy.
Deposits are good for one year and may be applied to a future fur baby if you decide the timing is not right or you are not happy with the way your puppy is turning out. 
We have the right to refuse service to anyone and also reserve the right to cancel any sale at anytime while the puppy is still under our care.

Balance

The final balance and shipping costs are due when you pup reaches 7 weeks.
This allows for time to get the vet health certification and make the airline arrangements if shipping is needed for delivery.
If shipping is not needed, the balance may be paid by PayPal, or postal money order, or cash at the time you pick up your puppy,
If the balance due is not received when the puppy is 7 weeks old, the deposit will be forfeited, the contract null and void, and the puppy will go back up for adoption.
Please let us know if you need other arrangements ahead of time or the delivery of you pup may be delayed.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping is available and varies by which airline is used and where you are located. Shipping does depend on weather conditions as no shipping of puppies can occur less than 20 degrees or above 80 degrees. Please be advised that weather conditions can cancel or delay a flight quickly, especially in the Midwest with spring and summer thunderstorms and many flights make stops here. I prefer to use Continental airlines as it is climate controlled and really prefer NON STOP flights. Flights will be considered on which is shortest and best for the puppy.  We make all the arrangements for you, so all you have to do is be there on time to pick up your puppy when he/she arrives. You can “Track” your puppy’s travel progress online with the airway bill number as they travel to you so make sure they are on time and no delays are occurring. This is very exciting as the time gets     closer to when you get to meet your angel.

It is a magical moment when new your baby comes out of the traveling crate and into your arms! Remember your camera!

Most puppies are ready to ship after 9 weeks of age, unless they are too small to ship at the time allowed, which you will be informed ahead of time if I think this is a possibility with your fur angel.  I reserve the right to make the best judgment as to when your pup will be safe to travel. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

If the best flight for the pup is out of San Francisco instead of San Jose, this will require additional driving time of several hours, gas, parking fees, etc and there will be a small additional fee to cover this of $75.00. Please contact us to make arrangements.
Price for shipping is generally $275, which includes shipping crate, health certificate & veterinarian examination, and any other costs that may be affiliated with shipping your baby.  This price is for 9 lbs. and under.  We will find out and tell you the exact price of shipping when the arrangements are made or when you pick out your pup, whichever you prefer.

If needed, we can also meet people part way if driving. Depending on how far we make arrangements for will also determine is there might be a small additional fee of $50-$75.
Of course, we really LOVE for you to pick up your puppy here at the Shih Tzu Garden whenever possible so we can meet and you can see for yourself the happy, clean environment you pup has been raised in.

We offer a written 2 year genetic health guarantee.

If you are no longer able to assume responsibility for your puppy, we will be more than happy to take the puppy back and find a replacement home for it. We do not want any of our babies ending up in a shelter or be in a place unloved or unwanted!
